Fundraising is one of the VESPTO's key responsibilities as it provides the means to ensure Victory Elementary School children have access to educational enrichment programs and opportunities that positively impact their education.
VESPTO has two main FUNdraisers:
WHAT IS THE WESTIE WAGGLE? The Westie Waggle is a kid-powered FUNdraiser. Kids collect donations in ANY AMOUNT from parents, neighbors and relatives. Then, as a celebration of the student's hard work raising money, grade levels will come out to the car rider loop at school to run, wiggle, and waggle around the track, run through an obstacle course and finish with a dance party led by DJ! ALL STUDENTS, regardless of how much money they raise, will participate in the Westie Waggle. This school year's Westie Waggle will take place on Halloween and students are invited to wear school appropriate costumes or dress as their favorite book character! Students can bring in cash or checks or set up a FUNdraising site online. Need help setting up your fundraising site? It's as easy as setting up an account on vespto.com - no need to join the PTO (although we'd love to have you!). After your account is created and students are added, use the My Account menu to go to FORMS. From there, once fundraising begins, you should see a section FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS for each of your students, just click on the link to get started! |

What is the Change Challenge? The Change Challenge is a FUN game that pits grade levels against each other over the course of a week to raise money for the Victory Elementary PTO. Each day, students add PENNIES to their own jar to add points to their grade - and add SILVER coins and DOLLAR bills to other grade's jars to subtract points from that grade. It's a fun competition that raised over $5000 in the 2022-23 school year! Change Challenge 2022-23 Fun Fact #1 We collected: 29,262 Pennies 4,758 Nickels 6,253 Dimes 5,526 Quarters 28 Dollar Coins Change Challenge 2022-23 Fun Fact #2 Fourth grade was the MOST SABOTAGED grade level over the week with -65550 pts in quarters, nickels, and dimes. Change Challenge 2022-23 Fun Fact #3 We collected 3 arcade tokens, 1 coin from peru, 1 coin from Barbados, and a half-opened chocolate coin. 🤣 |

WHAT WILL THE PTO DO WITH MONEY EARNED BY STUDENTS? In the 2022-23 school year, the PTO used the money raised by students to make improvements to the outdoor painted play areas behind the school. In the 2023-24 school year, the PTO is hoping to earn enough money to improve indoor spaces, including a mural around the library. |
|
WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING? We have a fundraising goal of $10,000 to help us in improving indoor learning and play spaces. |

On-going Fundraisers | |
VESPTO will earn funds for VES when you shop certain brands with Harris Teeter’s Together in Education program. You only have to link your VIC Card once each school year. You can link your TIE account and your VIC card at: https://tie.harristeeter.com/together-in-education using code, 6411.
All you need is your phone! Download the Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then use the app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit your school’s earnings online. Twice a year, VES will receive a check and can use that cash to buy whatever it needs! |
